New Job~ New Kids ~Christmas

So we started at the new school... it is on an elementary site so we have more school age kids than preschool kids at the new center. it is called El Toro Child Development Center. There are 12 preschool kids for 3 hours a day when the big kids are in school and there are up to 50 to 60 big kids after school. The big kids just love me and have to earn the right to have me out on the carpet to pet and love. Here are some pics:

I am getting lots of love and lots of attention at this school!!! And teaching the kids to be kind and respectful at the same time.

We wish all you you a wonderful Christmas....

We do have some Sad news and that is that Tony had to go back to the shelter... although he was cute... he was very rough and domineering and kept jumping over the fence and growling a lot at family members and the vet. So mom decided he was not a safe playmate, so we are on the hunt for a CCI released playmate in the future.

Mom's New Job! My new friend!

Well as most of you know... mom has been working two jobs to support our family and only one part time job in the summer, so she has finally found a new full time year round job with Child Development Incorporated! She will be the center manager/site director for a local preschool/school age program and a place that gives great benefits and opportunities to grow into higher management positions in the years to come. We are sad to leave our friends at the co op preschool and the city job but we need to do what we need to do to support the family and our futue. So wish us all luck in our new adventures!! Will keep you posted, we start December 11th.

I also have a new brother (boyfriend??).. havn't figured that out yet. His name is Tony and he is the same age as me and we got him at the shelter. He is an australian shepherd mix, smaller than me. He has been teaching me to have fun, run lots and lots and lots--- we looooove to play and excercize. I have been teaching him manners, like laying down when the famly eats, sitting politely to wait for things...not pulling on the lease... potty trained the guy in two days!!

Here are some pics of us...

Heeeeeerrreees Tony!!

September/October Updates

Hello All....

Well the preschool started in September and the kids and families love me of course! I now am out in the classroom during free play time for the kids to pet me, read stories to me and just hang with me. We have some pictures, but moms computer crashed and we just got a new computer but have to get the old files off old computer if possible to show pictures, will also resend from the preschool to new computer.

Halloween is just around the corner and mom got me two cute shirts for Halloween.. Those pictures will come soon as well.

Mom has had the flu and so we were not able to go to the CCI graduate get together... We were bummed, but with mom working two jobs, she was wiped out.. worked 97 hours in two weeks and exhaustion took over her. She is getting her strength back and of course I have been faithfully by her side giving her lots of love and kisses to help her feel better.

Also because moms computer crashed we lost all our email addresses, so any friends out there if you could email us so we have your updated email address we would appreciate it!

The babies are doing great... over 9 lb now and healthy as can be. Lisa is also doing great in school got an A+ in math first quarter report cards.... very proud of her!

sorry we took so long to update but with the start of preschool and flu we have been busy...More writing and pictures to come!

August News!

Well it has been a busy few months for the Farstad family!!

After 4th of July we spent the rest of July at camp and then on August 1st we were happy to announce the birth of cousin Avery and Shelby.

Avery and Shelby

Then we went took a trip to Disneyland....stopped in Ventura and played on the beach and then a few days at Disneyland... very hot. I stayed indoors most of the day because it was very hot. Went to Newport Beach as well and had a fun vacation with family... everyone we met of course just loved me!!

Trainer Amy came by one weekend and saw how FANTASTIC I am doing and helped teach mom the "name call" command.. Basically this is where if someone calls mom from behind.. I will nudge her or alert her and then look at the person calling her name, so I don't run to the person I just look at them...I am doing such an excellent job with this after just a few days!!!

Lisa just started 7th grade - Junior High - or Middle School as they call it here! She is growing up so fast!! We walked Lisa to the bus stop..and mom took some pics of me and Lisa on her first day of school. Lisa has a new do for school.. she looks just fabulous and all grown up!

HAPPY 4TH!!! (updates)

Cool Kids 4th of July Pictures!!

Happy 4th of July!!!

Updates....

A few weeks ago, mom took me into her regular nail place to get her nails done since she had a date to go on...and the nail place wanted me to wait in the car or outside! Of course mom and other nail patrons tried to explain to the business that I was not a "pet" and was a service dog and they had to allow me and they called their manager and we had to wait for her to arrive and then she too said "no dogs allowed"...and so, mom had to stick to her guns and she called the police... and the police came and explained the rights of service dogs and that they had to serve her and so because the police said OK.. they of course did her nails and of course I was well behaved while she got them done, but we were late for the date but the date just loved me too.. so all went well after that.

We also went to the movies the next week with her date guy and with Lisa and the 4 of us saw SUPERMAN.... Great movie ... We all enjoyed it!!

TWINS update.... Twins (still inside aunt cyndee) and uncle Scott and aunt cyndee are all still in the hospital but they hit 32 weeks on Monday and today the 4th... the babies weighed a little over 3 pounds each in her tummy.... so they are growing,.. they weighed about 2 pounds when she went into the hospital three weeks ago or so... so we will just keep praying that they take their time to come out when it is there time... Aunt cyndee will stay in the hospital until the babies are born due to the complications and on/off bleeding. We will keep you posted!!

I have been doing a fabulous job of waking mom up every morning when the alarm clock goes off and when she is cooking when the timer goes off.... also I don't even hesitate when Lisa tells me to go get mom... I go right to her and bring mom to Lisa!! I am also doing a fabulous job of "getting" Lisa... We are going to start working on mom's cell phone in other locations such as at camp or in her purse.. usually I just get it at home when it is on the table... and usually just on vibrate when she has it at work.. BUT I HAVE been noticing and alerting to the vibrate at home as well!! so that is something new we are working on too.... getting the phone when it is on vibrate too!! Am I amazing or what!!

4th of July Parade...

Mom's camp was in the Morgan Hill 4th of July parade.. so as pictured above...
I wore a red cool kids shirt and had my muttlucks on since the ground was hot to protect my feet.... had a pretty decorative bow on as well as my service vest.....everyone just loved looking at me and watching me.... The entire town saw me.. they thought I was sooooo cute and some laughed at my funny muttlucks.. but hey would you be walking in a parade barefoot??? I think not!

We went back to camp to cool down and all the kids went home around noon --- yeah so we got to go home too and rest.. Lisa and I took a nap .... We were exhausted!!
